TERMS & CONDITIONS
Reservations of accommodation are accepted by The Sandy Feet Retreat Ltd, hereinafter referred to as "TSFR", on the following conditions:
The hiring contract is between TSFR and the individual from whom payment has been received, hereinafter referred to as "The Hirer".
Once a confirmation of booking has been received by TSFR, the hirer is responsible for the total advertised price of the house and extras as shown on the confirmation of booking.
Initial Deposit Payment
All bookings are provisional until confirmed in writing by TSFR.
Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of initial payment to TSFR of a deposit of 50% of the total booking value.
If the booking is made within 60 days of the holiday commencement date, however, the full booking value will be required on booking.
Balance Payment
The balance payment will be due for payment 60 days before the holiday commencement date.
TSFR reserves the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received three days after the balance due date.
Change Of Booking Dates
If you are looking to move your holiday to an earlier date this will simply incur a £50 admin fee.
If you are looking to move your holiday to a later date we charge a £50 admin fee and can release your booking to be relet – credit is only held for you once the full gap has been rebooked.
If the dates are relet we can transfer the amount you have paid to another date within 12 months of your original arrival date.
If the booking is not relet and you have to cancel your holiday you will forfeit all monies paid and be liable for the balance (if still unpaid) if this is within 60 days of the booking arrival date.
The balance payment must still be made 60 days before the arrival date if the reletting process is to be continued within this period.
TSFR reserves the right to reduce last minute gaps (within 6 weeks) by up to 30% in order to let last minute gaps. Where this has been applied you will only receive the amount that the booking is relet for.
Arrival & Departure Times
Unless early arrival has been pre-arranged we ask that you do not arrive prior to 4:00 pm in order that our housekeepers can properly prepare the house for your stay.
Our guests are asked to vacate the house by 10am on departure day unless late departure is pre-arranged.
We respectfully request that the house must be left in the same condition as it was found on arrival.
Strict Noise Policy
Please note that in the interests of wildlife and our neighbours there is a Strict Noise Policy in place.
The Sandy Feet Retreat is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion.
However, please note that the house is situated within a Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve which has also been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on account of the wildlife and flora which flourish there.
To preserve this wildlife and in the interests of our neighbours, please do not play music loudly outside of the house inc. on the terrace and on/under the sun deck.
Music can of course be played at higher volume inside the house.
We ask guests to appreciate that the sound of shouting also travels very easily.
Please note that because of the above, we do not accept bookings from young student groups (25 years and younger without supervision).
We have assured Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust that the number of resident guests on this special site will not deviate from the maximum number of bed spaces (up to 7 guests + 1 infant 3 years or younger).
It is, therefore, not possible to invite additional guests to the house without agreeing this with us first and obtaining our express written permission. This is also for insurance purposes.
Party Size Policy
In no circumstances may more than the maximum number of guests, as stated on our website occupy the house, except by prior written agreement with TSFR, which reserves the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.
The maximum number of guests allowed is up to 7 guests + 1 infant 3 years or younger.
In addition, it is not permissible to invite extra guests to join your group without the express permission of TSFR.
We also reserve the right to refuse or revoke any bookings from parties which may be in our opinion (and at our sole discretion) unsuitable for the house.
Water Sports Policy
The use of the house and amenities where offered inc. kayaks, stand up paddleboards (SUPs), life jackets etc., is entirely at the user’s own risk.
No responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to user’s or their belongings.
The use of the amenities offered with the house are solely for our paying guests.
Please note that the waters ports equipment provided can only be used on the water from dawn to dusk and while the tide is incoming.
Life jackets must also be worn at all times when on the water.
Cars & Personal Belongings
Baggage and personal belongings are at the hirer’s risk at all times and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to any car or its contents.
Hirer’s Responsibility
The hirer is responsible for the house and is expected to take all reasonable care of it.
We respectfully request that the house is left in the same condition as it was found on arrival.
All equipment, inc. tableware, crockery and cooking utensils, cookware, water sports equipment etc., must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.
Cautionary Deposit
A good-housekeeping cautionary deposit of £1,000 will be taken at the time of booking, which is refundable.
All damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the hirer and costs shall be refundable to TSFR on demand.
Additional cleaning costs may also be incurred and any purchased TV content on Amazon Prime will be recharged.
Costs for all the above may be deducted from the pre-paid cautionary deposit and the authorised card(s) used for the booking payments.
TSFR also has the right to charge this card at its discretion for any damages incurred.
Lost Property
Please ensure you take all possessions home with you.
A charge of £20 will be made plus postage costs for returning left belongings.
Please note that we will hold onto any lost property which is found for a period of 4 weeks.
Cost of post and packaging must be received prior to dispatch.
Issues Beyond Our Control
TSFR cannot accept liability for happenings outside its reasonable control such as breakdown of domestic appliances, wiring, plumbing, sudden temporary invasion of pests, damage resulting from exceptional weather conditions inc. flooding or owners negligence resulting on loss, injury or accident.
TSFR is also not responsible in circumstances where guests are unable to get to us due to adverse weather conditions.
TSFR cannot be held responsible for any mains power loss resulting in failure or action from the National Grid network.
No Pets Allowed
Strictly no pets are allowed in the house.
Payment Terminal
Payments are processed through Holiday Rent Payment.
